The Engagement Specialists will be responsible for handling outbound and inbound calls which include member outreach and engagement calls. We are facilitating the recruitment of ENGAGEMENT SPECIALISTS for one of our clients based in Port of Spain

Responsibilities and Duties

The following responsibilities and duties must be successfully performed, without or without reasonable accommodation:  

  1. Providing exceptional customer service and engagement via telephone
  2. Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing quality service, identifying customer needs and assisting them with healthcare related issues/concerns that are assessed through outreach programs
  3. Responding to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation as needed
  4. Researching, identifying and solving problems; verifying eligibility of services and placing call backs as required.
  5. Meeting and supporting established service and sales and business objectives by meeting and exceeding performance standards
  6. Communicating effectively with callers from diverse socio-economic, cultural, geographic, racial, and age groups
  7. Simultaneously thinking, talking and typing
  8. Using excellent listening skills to receive, process and document detailed information

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC/O’Level subjects, one of which must be English Language.
  2. Experience or training in a health-related industry will be an asset.
  3. Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence; Spanish speaking is a plus
  4. Ability to deal with and solve problems using solid judgment skills
  5. Computer skills required to include the ability to navigate through multiple programmess; comfortable with dual screens; basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office.
  6. Reliable attendance and ability to adhere to a published schedule a must.

Working conditions: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, multiple computer monitors, phones, headsets, and keyboards. The Engagement Specialists may be exposed to office noises and interruptions such as Teams/Zoom messages, phones, and callers.

Physical Demand: This is a largely sedentary position which requires the Engagement Specialists to remain stationary for the majority of the workday. He/she will need to occasionally move about inside an office setting to access office machinery.
