JOB TITLE: Unit Electrician
DEPARTMENT: Mechanical

PURPOSE:
To ensure that approved units remain operational and effective in achieving the company's strategic objectives.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist in developing comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance schedules for approved units.
  • Efficiently, timely, and effectively execute tasks related to predictive and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff, facilitating knowledge transfer of best practices.
  • Stay updated with relevant developments in unit functionality, including changes in operating and service manuals, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop, process, and execute workflows, including documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for approved units.
  • Execute service and maintenance tasks independently, whether planned or unplanned, regardless of location.
  • Support the onboarding of new staff as needed.
  • Implement training initiatives among staff as directed by management.
  • Operate all equipment identified in service and maintenance schedules efficiently and effectively, including testing for functionality and managing placement into and out of service.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive databases on approved units, covering performance, duty cycles, parts consumption, related schedules, and lessons learned.
  • Generate reports for timely submission to management.
  • Ensure the effective and appropriate use, upkeep, and storage of all tools and equipment assigned for task execution.
  • Adhere to all policies and management system (MS) guidelines.
  • Document and communicate any perceived threats or process variances to the supervisor/manager.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks in assigned work areas.
  • Execute additional duties assigned by the supervisor/manager to further the job description.
  • Assist in developing Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ), and Operational Management Systems (MS) as needed.

  • Electrical certificate or diploma in a related field from a credible institution.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics related to workflows.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Any relevant combination of service, skills, and qualifications that fulfill this job description, subject to management’s discretion.
