Electrical Technician

Technician will be responsible for electrical maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of appliances, equipment and machinery used in our production facilities and retail outlets.

Job Summary

Technician will be responsible for electrical maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of appliances, equipment and machinery used in our production facilities and retail outlets. The technician will also ensure machinery and equipment are operating within specifications and producing at optimum levels.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs and troubleshooting breakdowns and malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Installing and performing diagnostic tests on equipment and machinery
• Performing quality testing and inspections.
• Developing and implementing electrical maintenance plans to prevent costly appliance and equipment breakdowns
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

COMPETENCIES, Qualification & Experiences

• Minimum Diploma or Level III Certification from a recognised Institution
• Knowledge of power tools and fault testing
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and panels
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Great organizational and time management skills
• At least two (2) years’ experience working in a similar capacity
• Holder of a valid drivers’ license
