Electrical Technician

Summary: The incumbent will be responsible to perform electrical and electronic duties preventive maintenance on all power source equipment and devices.

We are a fast-moving medium-sized Distribution and Processing Company seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position Electrical Technician for our Clarendon location:

 Summary: The incumbent will be responsible to perform electrical and electronic duties preventive maintenance on all power source equipment and devices.

Key Functions:

•    Maintain and repair electrical systems and wiring

• Perform regular daily/weekly/monthly and annual inspections of electric systems.
• Tests electrical systems and continuity or circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing device such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
• Maintain or replace electrical meter sockets as necessary.
• Always ensure personal and public safety.
• Observes all safety rules and regulations.

Minimum Requirement & Competencies:

• Level 2 - HEART Trust certification in Electrical Installation or any other approved body
• At least three (3) years’ experience in Electrical Maintenance
• Working knowledge of Electrical installation, maintenance, controlling, fitting, assembling, and repairing electrical machinery and equipment.
• Be flexible to work on either (evening, weekends, or public holidays)
• Competent working with 41SV wiring and system.
• Competent with 41SV equipment.
