Electrical Artisan  -  Level 3

 Qualification and Skills Required:

• NVQ-J Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• At least three (3) years related work experience
• Sound knowledge of electrical principles and local standards for installation.
• Trouble shooting ability

Requirements:

• Installation of communication cables
• Coordinate the installation of electrical wiring support system infrastructure, electrical cable and accessories
• Install and maintain electronic and electrical equipment and distribution circuits
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Use industrial instrumentation measuring devices
• Plan for wiring and installation of electrical/electronic machinery appliances
• Perform testing and inspection of electrical installations
• Coordinate and manage commissioning processes
• Coordinate the installation of electrical equipment, ancillary apparatus and secondary wiring

Highlights of Job Functions:

• Trouble shooting  to determine cause of malfunction and correct fault
• Prepare estimate of spares needed for correcting fault
• Periodically check system to prompt failure, correct or recommend corrective measures
• Investigate complaints received and recommend corrective action.
