REPORTS TO: Manager, Marketing & Ecommerce

LOCATION: Head Office, Chaguanas

As our Ecommerce Specialist, you will be directly adding value in the way we will be doing business going forward, by providing dedicated support to our ecommerce website, delivering a strong and effective online brand and superior customer experience. This is an exciting role that requires a well-organized, hands-on approach to ensure flawless execution in a fast paced and growing environment, our Ecommerce Specialist will “hit the ground running” and drive the ecommerce website to the next level.

The main areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Marketing & Ecommerce Manager in developing and executing digital marketing strategies to maximize ecommerce productivity and sales.
  • Experience with pulling contact lists from CRM’s.
  • Audit campaigns and adjust to accurately and evenly spend/pace with advertising budgets.
  • Engage in market research and education to remain dominant in cutting-edge PPC disciplines.
  • Ability to identify a target market and shift allocations.
  • Work with the Marketing & Ecommerce Manager and Web Developer in implementing various ecommerce related projects and development work of the website, assisting where required in working with IT to ensure website and ecommerce functionality are always operational.
  • Work with the Buying & Category Management department and the Data Analytics department to analyse and report on inventory movement across all categories to identify fast selling items, high margin sellers and other analytical reports as required.
  • Ability to make informed product recommendations to target digital advertisements and increase sales. 
  • Request items for online sales as appropriate.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, media assets, inventory and/or pre-orders.
  • Write, design, edit, and proof content for website, cultivating standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, and new product listings.
  • Monitor the day to day activities on the website and its overall performance and use spreadsheets or Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups etc) in addition to web analytics to stay organized and monitor changes in product sales and identify opportunities for improvement, including but not limited to increase website traffic and sales, developing brand loyalty etc.
  • Build and manage paid search and display campaigns.
  • Interact directly with graphics team to create appealing content/ads intended for social syndication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or other related discipline.
  • Certifications and/or proficiency in: Google AdWords, Google Analytics, General Website Maintenance, Mail Chimp, Search Advanced, Display.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Ecommerce.
  • Experience with supporting digital platforms, including Websites, e-mail, social media, digital display, etc.  Understanding of HTML, Photoshop. 
  • Experience using SEO methodologies.
  • Knowledge of website branding, content and merchandising tactics. 
  • Experience working with an ERP system, preferably MS Dynamics NAV.
  • Experience working with an Ecommerce platform, preferably Magento.
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite particularly PowerPoint, Excel and related applications. 
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment of change.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the 24x7 nature of e-commerce retail.
