An ERP Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in the design, configuration, and successful deployment of ERP systems tailored to meet organizational needs. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience in business process optimization. The ERP Solutions Architect collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure the ERP system aligns with business goals, optimizes workflows, and enhances operational efficiency.


 

Job Summary:

The ERP Solutions Architect is responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of ERP systems. This role involves analyzing business requirements, developing technical architectures, and ensuring the ERP system integrates seamlessly with other applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and a track record of delivering successful implementations. This individual will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and end-users to drive process improvements and maximize the ERP system’s value.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. ERP System Design and Architecture
    • Develop a comprehensive ERP architecture that meets business requirements and ensures scalability, security, and performance.
    • Customize and configure ERP modules to support business processes and ensure seamless functionality across departments.
    • Create detailed documentation, including system specifications, process flows, and integration points.
  2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements.
    • Conduct process analysis to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within the ERP system.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the ERP system configuration.
  3. System Integration and Data Management
    • Design integration solutions to connect the ERP system with other enterprise applications (e.g., CRM, HRIS, BI tools).
    • Define data migration strategies and oversee data mapping, data transformation, and data validation activities.
    • Work closely with IT teams to establish secure, reliable, and scalable data flows between systems.
  4. Project Management and Implementation Support
    • Lead or support the ERP implementation lifecycle, from planning and development through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, and HR, to ensure alignment with project goals.
    • Develop timelines, milestones, and resource plans to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  5. System Optimization and Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to enhance ERP system performance and functionality through updates, customizations, or automation.
    • Monitor ERP usage and gather feedback to refine workflows, improve user experience, and reduce bottlenecks.
    • Stay up to date with the latest ERP trends, tools, and best practices to advise on future enhancements.
  6. Documentation and Training
    • Create comprehensive documentation on ERP configuration, integrations, and customizations.
    • Provide training and technical support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition and adoption of the ERP system.
    • Develop user guides, process manuals, and training materials to support system users across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience with ERP systems, including at least 3 years in a solution architect or implementation specialist role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in ERP platforms such as Zoho, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise integration techniques, including REST APIs, SOAP, and ETL tools.
    • Proficiency in database management, data modeling, and SQL.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions and cloud integration practices.
    • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
