Driver

As Driver at Rock Solid Plastics Limited you’ll pick up and transport materials/products/goods between our locations, as well as making deliveries directly to customers’ facilities.

Core Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

1.     Deliver materials/goods to designated locations in a timely manner.

2.     Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations and policies.

3.     Maintain a clean and operational vehicle.

4.     Represent the company well in interactions with customers and the general public.

5.     Gain a thorough understanding of the local area and most efficient routes.

6.     Operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries.

7.     Help with loading and unloading vehicles.

8.     Complete pre- and post-trip safety and operations checklists and documentation

9.     Assist with regular vehicle inspections, arranging maintenance when required.

10.   Refuel vehicles and ensure they’re always ready for use.

• Open general Driver License, Articulated license
• Clean driving record for at least one year
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Unquestionable integrity and trustworthiness.
• Strong commitment to safety
• Excellent navigational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience driving in a professional capacity
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
• Familiarity with the local area

Requirements

• Minimum 3 CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics & English
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• At least 5 years experience as a Delivery Driver
• Open general Driver License, Articulated license
• Clean driving record for at least one year
