The incumbent is required to provide strategic direction for the Company’s Consumer Division in order to attract new business, provide superior customer service both internally, externally, ensure continuous growth of market share, and maximize profit contribution to the Company.

Bryden pi Ltd, one of the leading channel-focused distributors of Consumer, Health and Personal Care products in Trinidad and Tobago is on the lookout for the ideal candidate to join our unique family in the position of Division Manager within our Consumer Division.

Some Main Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead the team in the development and implementation of strategic sales & marketing plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Develop and manage the annual sales and distribution plan in line with Corporate agenda
  • Manage the growth and development of the Division
  • Ensure effective execution of key account plans and brand plans by Sales, Marketing, Trade marketing, Promotions and Merchandising.
  • Monitor and control Division’s expenses ensuring optimum use of resources
  •  Ensure the effective management of stock so as to avoid stock-outs and over-stocked situations
  • Continually evaluate the Division’s portfolio, capitalize on new business opportunities and relinquish unprofitable lines or brands
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Execute the Cycle Planning Process and adjust forecasts as necessary
  • Maintain  control of the Division’s Accounts Receivable
  • Manage Division’s Accounts Payable to capitalize on maximum credit terms from Principals
  • Develop and maintain close contact with key customers to obtain  feedback on their requirements
  • Maintain close contact with Principals to foster stronger ties and ensure long-term relationships
  • Oversee functional managers and their staff.
  • Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the successful execution of the Company’s Performance Management System for the Business Units
  • Challenge and motivate staff to consistently achieve extraordinary results
  • Communicate with the Managing Director on a regular basis on all aspects of the operations of the Division
  • Ensure continuous training and development of Division’s staff to ensure they acquire necessary skills for  excellent job performance
  • Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company

Qualification, Experience and Requirement: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field. Master’s Degree would be an asset
  • A minimum of ten (10) years in a Sales or Marketing environment with at least five (5) years at a senior management level
  • Or relevant combination of training and experience
  • A valid Police Certificate of Good Character
