About the Role: 

As the Dispatcher you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation and dispatching of resources to meet the needs of our operations. This role involves monitoring and managing incoming requests, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely response and effective communication. The Dispatcher plays a key role in optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining high levels of service quality and company profitability. The role is also responsible for training and coaching staff.

Some key outcomes are: 

  • Monitoring and Tracking:
    • Ensures that products are delivered to our restaurants on a timely basis, as per Delivery Routing Schedule
    • Track the status and location of dispatched resources, adjusting assignments as necessary to address changing priorities or unexpected issues
    • Communicate delays and/or issues relating to product retrieval and storage to the Inventory Manager
  • Documentation:
    • Maintains accurate records of dispatch activities, including service requests, dispatch times, and any incidents or deviations from planned routes
    • Assists with the receival of goods into the Factory & Fulfillment Centre for storage
    • Ensures pick lists are printed and adjusted for invoicing each day
    • Checks or adjusts transfers as is necessary; ensures that transfers match the contents of the truck
    • Assists with monthly inventory activities including physical stock count 
  • Customer Service:
    • Interact with customers to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve any concerns related to service delivery
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including health, safety and operational standards
    • Ensure that all Inventory activities comply with GMP / FSQS standards, as set by the company, without exception
    • Assist with the maintenance of FIFO process for the storage of products to minimize excessive loss or wastage
    • Ensures inventory areas are kept clean and organized

  • Adaptation: Adjusts to changes in schedules, processes, or priorities with ease
  • Collaboration: Works well with others, including field staff, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Dependability: Reliable and consistent in performing duties and meeting expectations.

 Qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Logistics/Warehouse Management/HEART Trust NTA-Level II Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent
  2. Certificate in Supervisory Management from a recognized institution
  3. GMP / FSQS / HACCP Certification
  4. At least Two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity
  5. Familiarity with HAACP Principles and Guidelines
  6. Ability to operate a Forklift would be an asset
