DIRECTOR of FINANCE and ADMINISTRATION

The Director of Finance and Administration will hold a position where they will be expected to contribute to the strategic direction of the organization. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager leading and developing an internal team to support the following areas: finance, human resources, property & administration, marketing and information technology.
Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Analyze and present real time financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all aspects of the operations of the business, and oversee all financial, and project accounting.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors.
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Management Team. Administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor process and changes; and keep the senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s status.
- Update and implement all necessary business and accounting practices; improve the finance department overall policy and procedure manual.
- Providing decision making support to the Executive Committee, Directors and the Senior Leadership Team
- Implementing strategies that will enhance the Organization’s overall performance.
Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing and Property & Administration
- Further develop and strengthen the organization’s human resources, information technology, marketing and property & administration.
- Enhance the organization’s professional development, performance evaluation, training and recruiting.
- Oversee the administrative functions and facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the organization.
- Oversee the efficient and effective performance of the information technology department.
- Safeguard the organization’s asset by ensuring proper procedures are followed for procurement, maintenance and sale; Ensure adequate insurance coverage is maintained.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Graduate Degree in Finance or Accounting ideally an MBA or Accounting designation (ACCA/CPA) or related degree.
- At least 10 years’ experience (administrative and management) at a senior level preferably in the Service Industry
- Strong organizational, management and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, forecasting and modelling skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, professional judgment and tact in dealing with contacts
- Ability to maintain a broad perspective of the long-term objectives of the Organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
