Director of Accounting Standards & Controls

As the Director of Accounting Standards and Controls at Limin Holdings, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls.

We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Accounting Standards and Controls to join our team and ensure the integrity and compliance of our financial reporting and internal controls.

You will play a critical role in overseeing the financial compliance function, identifying and mitigating risks, and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization. This position requires deep banking industry experience and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee the design and operation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Lead the development and implementation of accounting standards in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential financial and compliance vulnerability
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure a consistent approach to accounting standards and controls
• Provide guidance and training to employees on accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of accounting standards and internal controls
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board on the status of accounting standards and internal controls
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
• Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Director of Accounting Standards and Controls or similar role in the banking industry
• Deep knowledge of banking industry standards and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable with technology and computer usage or willing to enthusiastically learn, particularly Google Workspace
• High self-accountability and the ability to work independently without micromanagement
• Willingness to relocate to St. Lucia or currently reside in St. Lucia
• Candidates with 10+ years of direct banking experience will be preferential
