Director/Chief Executive Officer

JAMAICA NATIONAL CHILDREN’S HOME (JNCH)

(operated by the Methodist Church in Jamaica)

The Board of Trustees of the JNCH, which is a co-ed home catering to boys and girls up to eighteen years old who are in need of love, care and protection and accommodates up to eighty-four (84) children, is seeking to appoint a Director/Chief Executive Officer.

The Director leads the Team responsible for the physical, psychological, spiritual, health and safety needs of the residents, and the overall management of the facility.

Applicants should be between the age of thirty-five (35) and fifty-five (55) years and should be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Tertiary level training in child development, social work or related field
• At least 3 years' work experience in a similar position
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in staff supervision
• Training and/or experience in administration.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Valid Food Handler’s Permit
• Police Record
