Design Support Officer

To provide design support, quotes, renders, tender support, to A&D firms, clients and Total Office Sales People.

Job Purpose

To provide design support, quotes, renders, tender support, to A&D firms, clients and Total Office Sales People.

The duties of the job include:

• Use of advanced 3-D rendering software to render office environments taking into consideration structural walls, ceilings, power and data layouts.
• Building - in the rendering software – workstations, offices, chairs, taking account of fabric and hard surface finishes and other design elements.
• Assisting in the preparation of and submitting tenders using existing specification sheets as templates.
• Preparation of quotes and Bills of Quantity using word documents and the rendering software.
• Supply of spec sheets.

Desirable attributes

• Certificate in AutoCAD (2010 or above) Level 1 or 2.
• Knowledge of sketch up, or other design software is desirable.
• Ability to learn new products and the components much like Ikea type furniture.
• Applicant must be a self-starter, articulate,
• Professionalism and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative with the desire to learn new skills.

• Computer literacy – word / excel / outlook – is a must.
