Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, a renowned hotel chain headquartered in Spain with 75 properties worldwide, is expanding in the Caribbean and has recently opened a new resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica (formerly Holiday Inn). They are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will manage, control, and oversee all hotel operations in coordination with the Hotel Director. They will organize, lead, and coordinate personnel activities to achieve the company’s economic objectives, ensuring superior customer and employee satisfaction. The Deputy Manager will also make independent, responsible decisions during times when the Hotel Director is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead recruitment initiatives and foster the training, development, and motivation of team members.

• Manage and organize staff efficiently, promoting a participative leadership style and maintaining a positive work environment.

• Ensure exemplary behavior and uphold quality service standards, handling customer complaints effectively when necessary.

• Drive service excellence and ensure compliance with quality standards, continuously updating them.

• Expand the client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, monitoring online reputation, and addressing feedback.

• Develop and manage budgets, oversee credits, and optimize financial results while preserving service quality and team well-being.

• Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay competitive.

• Oversee facility maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed.

• Enforce company policies and safeguard company interests across all operational areas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Area Manager in a Caribbean resort.

• Demonstrated leadership, strategic vision, and team development skills.

• Residence in Jamaica.
