Datacom Engineer

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical interaction and daily communication with end customers, partners and local engineers.
  • Detail low level design for IP network in word and excel.
  • Write MOP for modifying operations on the live network.
  • Software update, provisioning, platform configurations and technical support during implementations or troubleshooting for different devices like, Routers, Switches, Firewall, WLAN, GPON, NMS, SDWAN.
  • Verification of functionality for different configurations according with the customer needs.
  • Customer service engineer, providing information for documentation guide, account privilege, license, technical inquiry, RMA’s.
  • Technical support and knowledge transfer to field service engineer and engineers from Level 2 and Level 3.
  • Troubleshooting and implementation for cross product : like Datacom ,IT productions
  • Supervision of the IP production hardware installation.
Basic Requirements: 
  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Informatics, or Telecommunications
  • 2 years or more experience in related field
  • Fluency in English
  • Technical Knowledge based in networking, Linux OS, Active Directory, Radius Server
  • have one or more of the following certification HCIA/ HCIE / HCIP / CCIE /CCIP  / NSE or any other equivalent certification
Professional Knowledge:

  • Technical Knowledge based in networking; L2/L3 Protocols, High Availability, Route Protocols and IP addressing, VPN tunnels, Multicast Networks, ACL;s. RADIUS 802.1x, WIFI and AD. High configuration skills of service and application of network platforms and protocols like NMS, OSPF, BGP, 802.11, STP, VLAN, MPLS, GPON, VRRP

Key Skillset:

  • < 2 Years of experience in networking protocols, Implementation and technical support of enterprise Networks

  • minimun 1 year of experience in project management

  • Good customer communication. Understand the customer requirement and problem description based in the client needs
Additional Requirement: 
  • Open to support in unexpected events ((Time availability and flexibilty)
  • Availability to be on duty during the on call week schedule
