Data Protection Analyst

Support evaluation of the company's data privacy risks and the development and implementation of solutions to minimize those risks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•	Support evaluation of the company's data privacy risks and the development and implementation of solutions to minimize those risks.
•	Conduct data privacy risk and impact assessments.
•	Collaborate with Strategic business units to identify solutions to minimize data privacy risks and communicates the company's position on data privacy to key stakeholders.
•	Provide subject matter expertise on privacy and data protection to help business partners incorporate privacy-by-design into their business processes, critical projects and initiatives.
•	Develop and implement the VM Group’s data privacy guidelines
•	Document data privacy legal and regulatory requirements
•	Conduct regular reviews of the organisation’s data privacy policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
•	Provide support for data inventories and maps.
•	Support the manager in development and documentation of program metrics.
•	Support the management of inquiry requests, and incident and breach management.
•	Collaborate with the cyber security team on a variety of overlapping initiatives and responsibilities.
•	 Develop and deliver data privacy training materials and business unit specific training and manages employee compliance with required training.
•	Develop and make presentations to   leadership committees and department meetings  onmatters of Data Privacy and Protection

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering
• Certified Data Protection Solution Engineer/Certified Information Privacy Professional/Certified Information Security Auditor
• Experience using various Risk Assessment Tools and Methodologies
• Minimum three (3) years working experience in a data privacy or data protection role preferably within a financial institution
