You’ll work alongside IT, Security, and Compliance teams to develop policies, mitigate risks, and drive best practices—helping us maintain the highest standards of data protection.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data governance policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory and industry best practices.
  • Support data classification and lifecycle management to ensure proper handling, storage, and access.
  • Lead a quarterly record retention program to ensure compliance with client contracts and regulations.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to promote a culture of data security and governance.
  • Partner with Security, IT, and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks related to data governance.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST 800, HITRUST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other data security standards.
  • Represent data governance in cross-functional meetings and contribute to policy reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for third-party audits, including HITRUST, PCI-DSS, SOC2, URAC, and NCQA.
  • Manage annual PCI-DSS self-attestation reviews and serve as a liaison for third-party assessments.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, information security, or a related field.
  • Information Security Assessor (ISA) certification is preferred (or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance standards (HIPAA, NIST 800, HITRUST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.).
  • Experience in data classification, lifecycle management, and compliance monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to implement effective data governance strategies.
  • Experience working with compliance management systems is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CDMP are a plus.
