Data & Accounts Processing Officer

An insurance company based in Kingston is seeking a Data & Accounts Processing Officer to join their Accounts Department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong data management and account processing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and maintaining accurate client accounts, generating reports, and supporting customer complaint resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process deduction reports to generate client payment information and identify discrepancies such as non-payment, short payment, or missing payments.
  • Generate custom reports based on organizational needs.
  • Create and maintain error-free spreadsheets with large volumes of numerical data.
  • Verify data accuracy by comparing it with source documents.
  • Retrieve and process data from databases and electronic files.
  • Monitor and update client accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Upload client payment information into the company’s software system.
  • Flag clients for termination when applicable.
  • Assist in the preparation of refunds for clients.
  • Investigate customer complaints, develop solutions, and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Liaise with insurance providers and stakeholders to address account-related queries.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data entry, account processing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and procedures is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and handle large volumes of data with accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting, requiring accuracy and efficiency in a high-paced environment.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods.
