DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE 

 

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for managing operations of all Food and Beverage outlets on property to deliver an excellent guest experience. He or she will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.
  • Managing all Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Setting departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills required to guide the department to excellence.

Qualification and Experience:

  • College or University Degree in Hospitality Management and/or equivalent experience/education.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ progressive experience in Food & Beverage Management in a first-class hotel, at least one (1) of which  should have been  in the position of Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of computer applications and software.
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices.
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded.
  • International experience would be an advantage.
  • The ability to work under pressure
