The Cyber Risk Analyst will be responsible for supporting the analysis, classification, and response to cybersecurity risks within the organization.

JOB SUMMARY  
 
The Cyber Risk Analyst will be responsible for supporting the analysis, classification, and response to cybersecurity risks within the organization. The analyst will address cybersecurity risk and analyses the potential business and customer risk, aligning processes and controls to the relevant frameworks and internal systems. The Cyber Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying areas of concern for the organization, supporting resolution and mitigation by providing advice and recommendations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Conduct risk assessments on information systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Analyze and prioritize cyber risks based on potential impact and likelihood.
  • Managing and analysing incoming cyber risks for all departments of the organization.
  • Preparing risk reports and ensuring actions are documented and delivered.
  • Tracking and monitoring risk activities, notifying action owners, and escalating where required.
  • Ensuring risks and remediation plans are regularly addressed.
  • Conducting quality assurance on all risk assessments.
  • Building understanding and awareness of cybersecurity risks throughout the organization.
  • Improving the cybersecurity processes, solutions, and professional practices of the team.
  • Using judgement to make risk-based recommendations and decisions within parameters.
  • Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence sources to stay informed about emerging threats.
  • Provide regular updates on relevant threat landscapes to the IT security team.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and propose enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the implementation of recommended security measures.
  • Assist in the development of incident response plans and protocols.
  • Participate in simulated exercises to test and improve incident response capabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on cyber risk assessments, including findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of risk assessments and mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify and enhance existing control processes.
  • Evaluate internal control improvement opportunities.
  • Administer audit and security tools, to document, maintain, and enhance controls.
  •  Maintain knowledge of key controls and enhance IT controls and policies accordingly.
  • Manage and maintain the controls of the IT audit program.
  • Preparing team members and necessary materials for audit meetings (e.g., control design walkthroughs), follow-up requests, and testing.
  • Coordinate testing and validation of IT General Control (ITGC) processes for internal and external audits.
  • Review auditor requests to ensure they are appropriately scoped, reasonable, and review the completeness and accuracy of audit evidence and materials provided by internal team members prior to auditor submission.
  • Partner with management to ensure team member accountability for completing audit assignments on time with the appropriate level of priority, thoroughness, and accuracy, according to documented procedures.
  • Identify and rank the inventory of third parties that pose a risk to the organization.
  • Collect the necessary security and auditing information from third parties, analyze it, and recommend its implementation as a control.
  • Oversee the maturation of the third-party risk management program through the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the design, creation, and maintenance of risk-based metrics.
  • Independently lead projects, coordinating efforts with all team members, and ensure proper management communication and project success through completion.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least four (4) years’ proven experience in cybersecurity risk analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence analysis.
  • A professional certificate in any of the following areas; CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH, Security+.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Available to work occasional overtime for time-sensitive projects.
