Credit Officer

The incumbent will provide internal support and continuous risk assessment of customer accounts in a pool of assigned field reps and in-house reps. He/She will be required to maintain relationships with customers and ensuring timeliness of payment. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit checks on credit applications received from assigned Sales Reps.
  • Peruse receipts presented with cheques (from assigned reps) for accuracy prior to submission for logging and presenting to company cashier.
  • Investigate accounts to resolve discrepancies for assigned sales reps.
  • Reconciliation of assigned customer accounts
  • Checking credit notes to ensure timely dispatch for assigned sales reps accounts
  • Generating weekly and monthly credit reports

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Business Studies or accounting and a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and best practices;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Knowledge, Skills & Competences:

  • Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Efficient problem solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Able to communicate professionally and effectively.
