Our Finance Team is currently looking for a talented Credit Lead for Barbados to provide oversite for the Credit Department to implement the credit strategy including policies and guidelines set by the Credit Manager, while providing supervisory oversight to the Credit Department.

 

 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Implements relevant policies for attaining a credit account for the efficient and effective operation of the receivable process.
  • Identifies policies that are due for periodic review and ensures review process is done and authorized by Credit Manager, where necessary.
  • Ensures recording of all payments to customer accounts and maintains accounts receivable records.
  • Ensures timely collections process and receipt of all receivables from vehicle sales, parts and service transactions.
  • Approves and manages credit accounts and limits for credit customers.
  • Researches and resolves client’s queries as required.
  • Oversees the reconciliation and depositing of all monies received by the Company.
  • Manages and approves short/ overs log on a daily basis.
  • Complies with internal controls and ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with external auditors to ensure timely submission of receivables request.
  • Compiles all insurance claims information, files insurance claims and liaises with brokers for settlement.
  • Supports the Credit Manager with financial submissions for month end reviews in line with Group deadlines.
  • Uploads receivable accounts in Blackline on a monthly basis for review.
  • Contributes towards IT tracker to ensure project related matters are addressed appropriately closed.
  • Reviews proposals on process updates to ensure appropriate accounting flow of transactions.
  • Provides ongoing and timely feedback on performance and conducts performance review meetings.

 

We'll make a match if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) certification or other applicable qualification an asset
  • Proven experience of 3 + years in credit management or financial risk management
  • Strong understanding of credit policies, credit reporting and risk management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes effectively
  • Experience managing a team and leading projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset
  • Accounting experience an asset
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
