CREATIVE MEDIA SPECIALIST

The incumbent will play a key role in The Brydens Group's marketing communications strategy by creating and producing appealing and engaging content by capturing and editing audio, video and photography material to be used on various platforms.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Producing high-quality multimedia content, including videos, photos, graphics, and animations, that effectively communicates the organization's message and engages its target audience based on briefs or guidelines.
  • Conceptualizing and designing creative visual and typographic elements for use in video/digital projects.
  • Filming in studio or on-location where necessary.
  • Leading the photoshoots to capture key visuals for Marketing, Training and Product content.
  • Supporting the graphic design requirements for Marketing & Communications projects
  • Media management of acquired files inclusive of editing, colour correction and image adjustment, final file preparation and delivery to multiple channels.
  • Ensuring that all content is optimized for different platforms and formats, such as social media, website, and email newsletters, to maximize its reach and impact.
  • Working with third-party vendors where required for video or photo production.
  • Responsible for and maintaining assigned production equipment.
  • Researching the potential effectiveness of new equipment or software in relation to its benefit for the Department.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content creation and video editing to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the organization's content.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the organization, such as marketing and communications, to ensure that content is consistent with the organization's branding and messaging.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Production/Graphic Design/Video Production or related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a similar capacity
  • Or a relevant combination of training and experience
  • Experience with video and photographic story-telling, digital and traditional advertising formats
  • Expert knowledge of digital video, audio, and photography DSLR equipment and production
  • Expertise in digital editing with video, audio, and photography, including knowledge and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop)
  • Expertise in creating and using motion graphics and digital animation to enhance video impact and engagement.
