Lead Banking Operations, Drive Growth, and Ensure Regulatory Excellence

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Country Manager to lead our banking operations in Grenada. Reporting to the General Manager, this executive role is responsible for driving business strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing compliance with regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, optimise financial performance, and spearhead digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience and business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement a country-level strategic plan aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Drive market expansion, ensuring growth in retail, commercial, and digital banking services.
  • Manage the P&L and financial performance, optimising resource allocation to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and digital banking initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

 

Operations & Risk Management

  • Oversee daily banking operations, ensuring efficiency, service excellence, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with local banking regulations, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Implement effective internal controls and governance policies to mitigate operational risks.
  • Oversee the credit portfolio, ensuring quality, risk management, and adherence to policy guidelines.
  • Collaborate with compliance, finance, and operations teams to ensure regulatory readiness and audit success.

 

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Foster strong relationships with regulatory bodies, government officials, industry stakeholders, and key clients.
  • Represent the Bank at key industry events, maintaining its reputation as a trusted financial institution.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards and customer-centric banking solutions.
  • Drive innovation and digital adoption, promoting self-service banking and mobile banking solutions.

 

People Leadership & Organisational Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing management team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, ensuring employee engagement and productivity.
  • Implement professional development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and future leadership succession.
  • Set and monitor performance KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ banking experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in P&L management, market expansion, and digital banking transformation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and manage complex banking operations.
