Corporate Security Officer

Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and assets toward creating a safe and secure environment for the workforce and users of the facility.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Provide security of personnel, and assets by patrolling the facilities, inspecting buildings, perimeter fence line, lighting, equipment, and access points, and any other physical security systems throughout the facility.
• Conduct security threat assessments to identify potential security and safety related issues.
• Provide reports on potential security risk and threats and countermeasures to mitigate the risk.
• Initiate and support emergency-response actions in the event of crises, emergencies, or threats to assets and provide first responder support as circumstances dictate.
• Respond to emergency situations, e.g., issues of workplace violence, violent offenders, accidents, fires, medical emergencies, offence in progress, alarm notifications, and other forms of unusual activity
• Assists with emergency procedures and support public response officials.
• Investigate and provide reports on incidents and occurrences as directed.
• Monitor and guide the contracted security service personnel in the performance of their duties.
• Monitor operations at the Bond (fuel distribution facilities) and ensure discipline and compliance with operating procedures by all operators, users, or visitors.
• Verify that products that are dispensed are in accordance with Product Orders as it relates to quantity and type of product dispensed.
• Identify and report on any HSEQ related issues to ensure adherence to HSEQ standards throughout
• Undertake any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level subjects
• Certificate in one or more Security based professional competency
• Demonstrated experience in the conduct of Incident Investigations and writing of Investigative reports
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles of physical security.
• Knowledge and experience in the conduct of Security Risk Assessments
• Holder of valid Driver’s Permit
• Must be computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft 365 Business (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)

• At least five (5) years working experience in the Security Industry (Military, Policing, Protective Services, Private Security Industry)
