The Corporate Secretarial Trainee I is responsible for providing support to the Associate and Senior in the Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining of physical client files and other routine administrative duties for the department;
  • Preparation of relevant documents required for filing at Companies Registry
  • Maintaining KYC information on client files, and liaising with clients on required documents needed
  • Liaising with clients on company secretarial procedures and due diligence requirements
  • Preparing of letters and other communication for clients and other external parties (banks, Government departments, etc.)
  • Liaising with Companies Registry on the status of filings submitted and other procedural requirements
  • Attending internal/client meetings and preparing minutes for said meetings, when required
  • Visiting Companies Registry to conduct business if/when required

 

Education/qualifications

  • At least 5 CXC/CSEC/A Level Subjects, including English Language and Mathematics;
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills, office etiquette, procedures and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in a professional services environment or equivalent (preferably company secretarial)
  • Pursing/completed a Tertiary level education in business or related qualification
  • If pursuing/completed qualification with the Corporate Governance Institute (formerly ICSA), this would be considered favourable.
