Corporate Sales Manager

Title: Corporate Sales Manager

Location: Giftland Group, Giftland Mall – Guyana

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary:

The Corporate Sales Manager drives revenue by executing sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. Leading a sales team, this role involves identifying business opportunities, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has proven sales success, leadership skills, and the ability to foster long-term business partnerships.                                                                                                         

Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

  1. Manage and train sales team.
  2. Generate sales leads.
  3. Develop and execute action plans to penetrate new markets.
  4. Schedule and conduct presentations to existing and potential clients.
  5. Achieve sales targets and develop strategies to ensure continued growth and success.
  6. Ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  7. Prepare business plans and strategies for client portfolio development.
  8. Ensure Customer Service standards are upheld and efficiently handle queries and complaints.
  9. Manage the department ensuring all orders are processed according to SOPs.
  10. Ensure proper communication with other departments, in particular; Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Warehouse and dispatch / receiving.
  11. Prepare and present reports to the executive.
  12. Responsible for management of the corporate sales bond.
  13. Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding staff performance.
  14. Ensure that all Sales Representatives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting, appointments, proposals, calls and targets.
  15. Foster team spirit and an environment conducive to staff motivation.

Reporting Responsibilities: Chief Executive Officer

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise all activities and personnel in the corporate sales department.

Job Requirements/Specifications:

Education:  Degree in business administration or equivalent field; Relevant education and/or experience may be considered.

Experience:  3-5 years of experience in sales management preferred.

Essential SkillsProven leadership skills and ability to drive high performance sales teams; Performance driven

Other Skills:

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills: 

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Salary and Benefits are based on Giftland existing salary scheme, and benefits are in accordance with the laws of Guyana and the policies of Giftland. These are all provided for in the Contract of employment.
