Position Title: Corporate Finance Associate
Location: Tobago (Remote Work)
Salary: USD $750.00 - $1000.00
Department: Corporate
Immediate Manager: Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview: The Company operates in a fast-paced, results-driven, and customer service-oriented environment, focused on consistently delivering efficient and high-quality services. The Corporate Finance Associate will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer to provide various corporate finance services and functions, including but not limited to bookkeeping, budgeting, managing financial records, financial reporting, assisting with strategic financial decisions, ensuring compliance with accounting and legal standards, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping: performing all general bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as well as invoicing and expense tracking.
  2. Manage and maintain organized and precise records in QuickBooks; creating and updating the chart of accounts, recording transactions, and ensuring data integrity.
  3. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts on a weekly/monthly basis.
  4. Generate monthly and quarterly reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget versus actuals.
  5. Liaise with external tax professionals to prepare documentation for tax filings, including gathering and organizing necessary supporting documentation.
  6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations; properly file and store financial documents.
  7. Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  8. Track and file annual government registrations.
  9. Perform other related duties including but not limited to reconciliation, maintenance, and administrative functions as assigned.
Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
    • Requires 3-5 years’ experience in the Accounting and/or Bookkeeping field.
    • Requires at least 3 years’ experience in professional bookkeeping, ideally supporting small businesses.
    • Working knowledge of QuickBooks (desktop Pro or online), with a demonstrated ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Hands-on experience with tax preparation requirements and ability to organize files for CPAs/tax preparers.
    • Knowledge of US-GAAP would be an asset.
    • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Exceptional accuracy and thoroughness in recordkeeping.
