The Core Network Delivery Engineer will provide a high level skillset for technical presales support, commissioning, Integration, System Acceptance Testing (SAT) and post- sales support services for the Circuit Switched and Packet Switched Core Network Elements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take charge of onsite or remote delivery of core network CS&IMS/PS/5G/HSS/PCRF/DRA projects, including network design, installation and deployment, interconnection commissioning, cutover, upgrade and capacity expansion.
  • Engineering solutions development, performance KPI analysis  and ensure solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices  
  • Perform technical support activities connected with demonstrating, experimenting and testing project
  • Putting software and hardware equipment into operation, database implementation, upgrading operational systems of the equipment, installing and updating applications, testing Huawei equipment with test instruments and testing the compatibility of the Huawei equipment  with the equipment of other manufacturers
  • Monitoring network status, reporting irregularities and possible operative errors, as well as their correction
  • Be responsible for the products and solutions as well as for "After sales" technical support in the field of core network networks
  • Supporting our customers from any technical perspective, and enhance our relationship in the primary key accounts
  • Project implementation and technical control of its suppliers or partners
  • Level 1 / Level 2 technical support service to the customers independently or together with a support section
  • Provide training for customers, subcontractors or service partners. Sales for testing, bidding or holding workshops
  • Troubleshooting Customer Network Faults
  • Software Commissioning and Cutover for devices of Core network
  • Provide technical support for Core Network devices to customer including daily maintenance operations and upgrading of devices
  • Responsible for communication assurance for major events (including data and voice services).
  • Fully communicate with the customer during project delivery, take responsibility for successful project delivery, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction.
  • Required from time to time to travel in Central America and the Caribbean.

 

Service skill requirements:

  • Effectively communicate with junior-level customers about technical solutions, project plans, and progress to obtain customer support and recognition.
  • Correctly understand, effectively analyze, and manage customer requirements, and propose feasible solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Identify technical risks of the product family, such as delivery strategies, technical solutions, cyber security, and bidding clauses, and take effective measures to mitigate the risks.
  • Identify and manage technical problems, formulate solution plans and solutions, complete design review, on-site construction supervision, process specification and quality control of partners, and progress tracking.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the telecom field (familiar with core network, IP, network management, etc.) or IT industry. (OS, database, cloud, virtualization, middleware, etc.);

Education and Certificate requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above related to Telecommunication Technology, Computer Science & Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field of study
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience in telecommunications, with core network engineer of telecom experience
  • Certificate in Networking such as CCNA or HCNA will be an asset
  • One of the following technologies: core networks including CS, IMS, Packet Core, NGN, NFV, WCDMA-PS, HLR/HSS/PCRF, EPC, vEPC, 5G Core is an advantage

 

Professional knowledge requirements:

  • Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining core network products such as NFVI, MANO, CS/PS, and 5GC is preferred.
  • Basic command of call signaling, network evolution, and datacom network design and commissioning in the communications field.
  • Be familiar with IT system construction and Internet system design and operation.
  • Basic command of public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud network design, integration implementation, and related principles.
  • Knowledge of mobile core network signaling and telecommunication principles
  • Knowledge of VNF, NFVI, IP networks, routing and switching
  • Knowledge of intermediate routing
  • Knowledge of L2/L3 switching
  • Knowledge of IP addresses distribution
  • Knowledge of VPN instances/VRF
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, First Line Maintenance / Second Line Maintenance (FLM / SLM)
