Contracts Manager

The selected candidate will manage the contract management process and review all contracts at CAL to monitor adherence to the terms and conditions with respect to price, product, or service.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will report to the General Manager, Procurement.  The selected candidate will manage the contract management process and review all contracts at CAL to monitor adherence to the terms and conditions with respect to price, product, or service.  In instances of discrepancies, analytics will be provided to the Owning Department for review.   

The incumbent is also required to coordinate the administrative aspects of the Contract Process and monitor the compliance and efficient execution of all contracts in accordance with public procurement standards and regulations and track their status and execution to ensure that contract terms and conditions are adhered to.

• Service Delivery: Ensures the effective and efficient delivery of company provided services to employees in keeping with the department’s approved SLAs.   

• Policy Compliance: Ensures compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and operational policy requirements.   

• Profitability: Manages assigned resources effectively to maximize efficiency of operations and create value for customers.  

• People Management: Supports the growth and development of team members, through effective engagement, leadership, and guidance. Supports the organisation’s People Agenda through adherence to related policies, processes and initiatives, and championing of our values.   

• Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.  

• Safety and Quality: Supports the advancement of the organization’s safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture, through personal leadership in this area and compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.     

PERSON SPECIFICATION: 

You must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a contract management environment with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Economics or Law.  You must be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Power Point. 

You are required to have a strong customer service orientation and must be able to prepare accurate reports and presentations independently and present ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Experience in a similar role and understanding of the Aviation business along with post grad qualifications in a related field would be an asset.
