Computer Technician

(1 YEAR CONTRACT)

Location:  Port of Spain

Salary range: $5,000.00 to $6,000.00

JOB SUMMARY:

The Computer Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for all computer hardware and software. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining computer systems, peripherals, wired and wireless networks. The Technician will also assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT security measures. Knowledge of CCTV, VoIP Phone, Access Control and Alarm systems will be an asset

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: 5 O’Levels or CSEC (Must have Math and English)
• Certifications in Network+, A+ or equivalent would be an asset
• At least 2 years of experience in computer hardware and software support

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing computer systems.
• Experience with networking concepts and technologies.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS).
• Experience with common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
• Experience in network cabling installation, testing and termination
• Experience with IT security best practices.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and move computer equipment, UPS units, printers, etc.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in various environmental conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
