Compliance Officer – Restaurant Service

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the service standards of the staff at Dachin’s restaurants are met. He / She will be primarily based at the Dachin Restaurants (Texas De Brazil, Rizzoni’s and Jazz International Grill) and will rotate across the restaurants to examine, investigate and evaluate the restaurant staff’s conformity with procedures, standards and regulations established for the restaurant / food service industry.

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting Dachin’s Restaurants regularly to observe and review staff compliance levels as it relates to conformity with company policies, procedures, regulatory standards and quality objectives.
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the compliance levels of restaurant staff.  
  • Ensures effective communication among Restaurant Management, Multi-Unit Directors and the Human Resources (HR) Department, recommending compliance-focused training as needed.
  • Designs and implements monitoring programs to evaluate customer interactions across all touchpoints, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements and service standards.
  • Conducts evaluations of customer interactions to assess compliance with service and quality standards, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Facilitates Quality Review Programs to ensure consistent application of customer service protocols and compliance with established performance metrics.
  • Compiles and reviews the Performance Rating/Service Charge sheets for Jaxx International Grill sent from the various restaurants to be passed to the Accountant for processing
  • Liaises with Restaurant Management regarding employees’ levels of compliance to address compliance concerns.
  • Reports to Senior Management on findings on a weekly basis.
  • Analyzes data and regulatory trends to recommend improvements to processes, systems, and policies to enhance compliance and service quality.
  • Implements corrective and preventive measures to address quality and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with established Company metrics.
  • Attends operational events at locations to monitor staff adherence to the required standards.
  • Provides corrective feedback to employees and management to address compliance gaps and improve performance.
  • Develops and update procedures to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service while meeting compliance obligations.
  • Conducts checks on restaurant documentation such as reports and rosters to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
  • Communicates Company policies as per handbooks and other memoranda to restaurant staff.
  • Assists in the roll out and implementation of new initiatives and provides feedback between Management and restaurant staff.
  • Participates in third-party audits and calibrations, providing documentation and corrective action plans to resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree Business, Finance, Management, or equivalent qualification.
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Certification.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a QA/QC role.
  • Previous experience working in the restaurant / hospitality industry will be considered an asset.

  • The role requires the incumbent to possess a vehicle in good working condition, as mobility across the restaurants is required.
