Core Functions
•Assist in ensuring that the organization’s policies, operating procedures, products and services are in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
•Assist with developing and monitoring performance for training programmes regarding regulatory compliance and money laundering.
•Manage and remediate alerts in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring application(s).
•Assist with the resolution of all compliance (including KYC) related exceptions in audit reports; update records and escalate enquiries where necessary.
•Prepare responses to compliance queries from correspondent banks and regulators including AML/ KYC questionnaires for review/approval of the Compliance Manager.
•Review and assess AML reports submitted to the Division by the branches to ensure same are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
•Assist with supervising the AML Compliance Analyst team responsible for remediating alerts generated in the AML Monitoring application(s).
•Prepare and post entries to clients and escrow accounts. Responsible for submission of orders and invoices for payment in Oracle.
•Prepare mid-month and end of month returns including flash forecast and monthly performance reports.
•Collate information and collaborate with Compliance Manager to develop the Division’s budget.
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Economics or a related field
•Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a similar environment including at least two (2) years at a supervisory level.
