The candidate is responsible for ensuring compliance to all internal policies, procedures, operational performance standards and general auditing best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock Management
1. Monitor the Food costs of all operational units to analyze trends and present
findings to management on gaps identified and possible solutions to close such
gaps on a weekly basis with 100% accuracy. Reports on the areas being tracked
(voids, petty cash, stock, cash) to be submitted to the Audit Manager on a weekly
basis, with 100% accuracy
2. Monitor the wastage levels at each store (based on the audit schedule) and present
the wastage statistics on a weekly basis, with 100% accuracy
3. Monitor the stock variances (overages and shortages) at each store (based on the
audit schedule) and present statistics on a weekly basis, with 100% accuracy
4. Ensure that all stock discrepancies are investigated within 24 hours of the
discrepancy arising, and where needed, escalate to the Audit manager to have the
matter closed within 48 hours of the matter arising, with 100% accuracy.
5. Ensure that all store/ stock transfers are verified against the stock transfer
documentation, by cross referencing the leaving stock and quantity against the
receiving stores stock and quantity, on a weekly basis with 100% accuracy
Cash Management
1. Analyse all cash/ cash related transactions (cashier and managers floats)/
discrepancies on a bi weekly basis with 100% accuracy, sending the report to
the Audit Manager by the last working day of each week with 100% accuracy

2. Ensure that all cash/ cash related discrepancies are investigated within 24 hours
of the discrepancy arising, and where needed, escalate to the Audit manager to
have the matter closed within 48 hours of the matter arising, with 100%
accuracy.
3. Complete an audit on the managers and cashiers’ floats at the stores by
counting all totals found in the floats against the benchmark, on a weekly basis
with 100% accuracy
4. Ensure that all gaps identified in the cashiers balancing book are highlighted
and investigated within 24 hours of the discrepancy being found with 100%
accuracy
5. Ensure that all voids are verified against the original customer receipt and the
Oracle sales report, on a weekly basis with 100% accuracy
6. Ensure that all floats are recorded within the float books on a daily basis, the
start and end of each shift by conducting a physical check on all books, on a
weekly basis with 100% accuracy
Compliance:
1. Ensure that the staff meals policy and all staff discounts are in accordance with
Company policy and procedure, verifying all figures against the sales report, on
a weekly basis with 100% accuracy
2. Present recommendations to the Audit Manager on operational and procedural
inefficiencies based on all findings, on a monthly basis, with 100% accuracy
3. Present the action log to the Audit Manager with all items required for action
or close out, on a weekly basis with 100% accuracy
4. Ensure that all health and hygiene benchmarks are practiced at all stores,
investigating all non-conformances within 24 hours of the matter arising with
100% accuracy
5. Ensure that all anomalies found during store visits are reported to the Audit
Manager within 24 hours of the anomalies being found, with 100% accuracy
6. Ensure that all matters are discussed and action plans discussed with the Audit
Manager on a monthly basis, with 100% accuracy
7. Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:
➢ 5 CXC passes at general level is a must (Math’s and English are mandatory)
➢ CAPE passes or higher-level education separate from CXC Passes
➢ Certification in Audit Principles, Compliance or Social Science will be preferred
➢ At least 5 years’ experience in an Auditing Position
➢ At least 3 years in a Supervisor position would be an asset
➢ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
