The Commercial Analyst is responsible for managing the execution of the commercial strategy and for monitoring and influencing its performance using analytical and business insights to drive change.

Major Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyses data to report on sales & all sales related activities
  • Contributes to the development of sales plans and objectives
  • Monitors and maintains the business’ database (customer channel, route, segment, customers, visit frequency, coverage, etc.)
  • Reviews past and current sales data to determine trends in productivity
  • Assists with sales related forecasting and sales demand planning activities
  • Monitors and reports on sales performance by channel and sales route to present actionable information and insights to team members and management
  • Partners with various departments in the business as well as parent companies to manage all commercial related key performance indicators and reports
  • Oversees customer account creations and modifications
  • Monitors and suggests best practices to enhance time and motion for the sales force
  • Works with
  • Manages ERP & CRM systems and tools, such as SAP, uProcess, SAVVION, and Win the Market (MC-1), to support to ensure information is in proper form and issues are resolved where necessary
  • Act as point person for commercial operations matters related to sales route, sales office, and sales channel management and performance
  • Any other responsibilities as required by the department and by the business
Specialized knowledge, skills, and training required

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role in FMCG/CPG sector
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, in a team and across the organization in a business partner environment.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, enforce deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail ensuring all numbers are fully reconciled and fully aligned.
