Colour Shop Attendants (Barbados), Berger Paints Barbados Limited

The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing key accounts and customers daily by providing administrative and sales support to the BERGER Colour Shop as required.

Job Summary:

• Our Company is currently seeking to recruit two (1) skilled and experienced Colour Shop Attendant to oversee the operations of our Colour Shops (Brandons, Speightstown, SunPlaza). The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing key accounts and customers daily by providing administrative and sales support to the BERGER Colour Shop as required.

Job Description:

• Drives and generates sales at any assigned Colour Shop location, by providing accurate product information and advice to customers across channels, via telephone, in-person, and electronic communication.
• Receives, processes and tints customer Orders in ERP and Innovatint systems.
• Captures and records all mis-tints via movement journal entry and mistint spreadsheet.
• Ensures proper accounting of sales and cash (Reconciliations, closing of statements).
• Provides after-sales service to new and existing Color Shop customers, including but not limited to related OTIF activities.
• Assists with Inventory Management by participating in scheduled cycle counts and stock takes.
• Monitors and replenishes Colour Shop stock to ensure product availability for business continuity.
• Monitors Point-of-Sale materials, ensuring that they are neatly displayed and available for consumer use.
• Ensures the rotation of shelf stock using the First in First Out (FIFO) Cycle.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of five (5) CXC certificates or five (5) CAPE certificates or similar.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a similar role.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• An eye for colour would be an asset
• Ability to conduct market research.
• Sales experience in hardware trade/ retail and or paint/ coatings industry would be an asset.
• Ability to work competently with limited direct supervision.
• Excellent Work Ethic – highly reliable, punctual and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Must be flexible to move to any of our locations at short notice.
• Must be able to lift 5-gallon pails.
