We are recruiting Collections Officers who are team players, highly motivated, passionate about collections and customer service, self-driven and has a demonstrated ability to deliver results. A Collections Officer should have a sense of urgency and a strong drive to succeed in this task.
The Collections Officer is responsible for daily collections functions in order to reduce and maintain the aged receivables. The Officer will also be accountable for the management of debt collection in the company.
Core responsibilities include:
- Ensure all individual targets and portfolio benchmarks are exceeded/met
- Analyze and investigate Collections/Delinquency Reports
- Utilize various forms of communication to contact customers, employers, guarantors, references and internal customers
- Build relationship with customers and employers
- Document all customer contact, follow up actions and salient details on the system
- Ensure next steps are taken in a timely and progressive manner to ensure rehabilitation of customers’ loan accounts in the shortest possible time
- Receives, documents, respond to queries and resolves complaints from customers in accordance with the Company's Customer Service Policy
- Prepare and analyze Loan Statements and provide customer with correct information
- Prepare and dispatch relevant department letters/notices
- Prepare monthly reports for personal loan portfolio
Qualifications/experience required:
- First Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Management Studies or related field
- A minimum of two years’ experience in debt collections or similar capacity
Skills/attributes required include:
- Thorough knowledge of collections techniques and methods for financial institutions
- Commitment and persistence in debt collections
