Work location:  Bridgetown, Barbados (Hybrid/On-Site)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Cloud Services & Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, maintenance, and improvement of our infrastructure and client-facing service platforms. This role requires technical expertise, strong sales support, and a focus on service innovation. The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, collaborate across teams, and ensure scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions in a multi-customer managed services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Service Development & Deployment: Collaborate on new service offerings (e.g., managed voice, cloud backup, network security), ensuring alignment with client needs and business timelines.
  • Infrastructure & Service Assurance: Maintain and optimise internal and client-facing infrastructure (e.g., servers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, Azure). Manage lifecycle processes, firmware updates, and hardware procurement.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Migration: Lead cloud migration projects (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure), ensuring smooth transitions, risk mitigation, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Service Continuity & Incident Response: Act as primary escalation point for cloud services issues, lead business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR), and implement preventative measures.
  • Team Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior staff, document processes, and foster a collaborative, learning-driven culture.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Optimise monitoring tools and create client-facing performance dashboards.
  • Security & Access Controls: Implement identity/access management, firewall policies, and ensure data security best practices.
  • Documentation & Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and change logs.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with GM, sales/account managers, and vendors to scope and deliver technical solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in cloud services delivery or customer-facing technical roles (preferably in a managed services environment).
  • Experience deploying Microsoft 365, SaaS, and cloud VoIP platforms.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing cloud migrations, including cost optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of network design, firewall configurations, virtualisation, and Windows Server administration.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles, BCDR frameworks, and compliance best practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, CCNA, ITIL) are a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  • Customer-Centric: Comfortable engaging with clients and providing technical solutions aligned with their business drivers.
  • Collaborative Leader: Promotes a team environment and cross-training.
  • Technical Confidence & Adaptability: Skilled at solving complex infrastructure issues in fast-paced settings.
  • Service Innovation Mindset: Continuously seeks ways to enhance service reliability and client value.
  • Documentation-Driven: Emphasises thorough documentation to reduce reliance on single resources.
  • Practical: Enjoys hands-on configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proactive & Resourceful: Anticipates challenges and drives continuous improvement without waiting for issues to arise.

Due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
