Role Overview:
We are seeking a Cloud Services & Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, maintenance, and improvement of our infrastructure and client-facing service platforms. This role requires technical expertise, strong sales support, and a focus on service innovation. The ideal candidate will mentor junior staff, collaborate across teams, and ensure scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions in a multi-customer managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Service Development & Deployment: Collaborate on new service offerings (e.g., managed voice, cloud backup, network security), ensuring alignment with client needs and business timelines.
- Infrastructure & Service Assurance: Maintain and optimise internal and client-facing infrastructure (e.g., servers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, Azure). Manage lifecycle processes, firmware updates, and hardware procurement.
- Cloud Infrastructure Migration: Lead cloud migration projects (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure), ensuring smooth transitions, risk mitigation, and ongoing optimisation.
- Service Continuity & Incident Response: Act as primary escalation point for cloud services issues, lead business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR), and implement preventative measures.
- Team Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior staff, document processes, and foster a collaborative, learning-driven culture.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Optimise monitoring tools and create client-facing performance dashboards.
- Security & Access Controls: Implement identity/access management, firewall policies, and ensure data security best practices.
- Documentation & Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and change logs.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with GM, sales/account managers, and vendors to scope and deliver technical solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of experience in cloud services delivery or customer-facing technical roles (preferably in a managed services environment).
- Experience deploying Microsoft 365, SaaS, and cloud VoIP platforms.
- Proven track record in planning and executing cloud migrations, including cost optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of network design, firewall configurations, virtualisation, and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with IT security principles, BCDR frameworks, and compliance best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, CCNA, ITIL) are a plus.
