The Clinic Team Lead oversees daily clinic operations, ensuring efficiency by evaluating and adjusting duties as needed. They manage patient care services, practice standards, budgets, and staff development while monitoring clinical areas for compliance with all regulations.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Follow and implement the Lab Medica Group of Companies Code of Ethics and Employee Handbook.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic, as it relates to the patients, staff members and the facility.
  • Observe the proper chain of command by reporting to the upper management team and other directors, as it relates to their perspective scope of responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with patients based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Report inappropriate behavior and misconduct of other staff members to the HR manager.
  • Be present at the clinic during critical work hours as detailed by the HR manager.
  • If necessary, provide coverage at another facility belonging to the Lab Medica Group of Companies.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Standards and Quality Control:

  • Ensure professional treatment plan for patients as it relates to the patients’ individual conditions and clinical needs and in accordance to their assessment and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement specialized educational protocols, as well as ensure proper utilization of support systems and resources.
  • Implement outcome measuring for the benefit of patients as well as staff members. Utilize the outcome measures and other relevant data in the adjustment of patients’ need assessments as well as the performance reviews and the individual improvement plans of staff members.

Financial Performance:

  • Timely submission of cash reports, monies and any other financial reports and documents to the accounts department.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of corporate resources and follow productivity guidelines for all staff members.
  • Comply with the clinic’s operational budget, and practice cost management.
  • Ensure proper and professional handling of funds, collection, verification of eligibility, and billing.
  • Ensure prudent and efficient utilization of other corporate resources and assets, including intellectual property, equipment, furniture etc.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a pleasant and professional environment.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through the provision of customized treatment and timely delivery of services.
  • Pursuing customer service and customer satisfaction through the implementation of policies related to the operations and staff training.

Human resources:

  • Assist HR with the screening and training of staff, allowing for the proper operations and levels of services.
  • Set expectations in full detail, provide feedback in “real time” and maintain individual accountability of your staff members through performance reviews outcome, measuring the development of their improvement plans.
  • Encourage the professional growth of the clinic’s staff members through training, case conferencing, peer reviews and ongoing education.

Clinical:

  • Diagnostic Testing/Procedures
  • Perform vital signs and clinical assessment
  • BP, pulse, height, weight, BMI, body measurements, glucose stick.
  • Perform urinalysis

Patient Care:

  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas
  • Prepare patients for routine and specific exams
  • Assist prepping patients for nebulizer/wound care/vaccines and other treatments

Client Types, Products - Services & Process:

  • Know the different market segments, companies, clients, programs etc. & scope of services offered E.g.
  • Life insurance companies: (medical request forms)
  • Health plans (Caricare, Guardian, Pan American etc.)
  • Corporate and occupational health
  • Lab services, DNA paternity tests, drug testing
  • Perform Phlebotomy
  • Label, Process and Package Blood/ Lab Specimens for Transport To Lab
  • Obtain Nasal Swabs /Throat Swabs/ Wound Swabs for Microbiological Testing
  • Prep and Perform ECG
  • Perform Drug and Alcohol Screening      
  • Excellent social skills, professional demeanor, and leadership.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Excellent result and detail organization.
  • Excellent follow up and follow through.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Reliable transportation arrangements.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  • Possess a degree, diploma or certification in Business Administration or equivalent and clinical experience appropriate for the above-mentioned requirements and responsibilities.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar field.
  • Excellent management skills, and extensive supervisory and administrative experience, preferably in a private health care facility.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of health care.
