Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations (New Brunswick) team in the capacity of:
Client Service Representative – New Brunswick
Greet and assist clients in a courteous, timely and efficient manner while delivering a high standard of professional service.
Be effective and efficient in managing transactions and queries and ensure they are completed in a timely manner and in keeping with the Bank’s service standards.
Assist management with events that can deepen client loyalty and goodwill, as well as actively cross-sell the Group’s products and services to existing clients.
Location: St. Catherine
As a Client Service Representative, you will:
- Deliver quality client service by greeting and responding to clients promptly and courteously and completing transactions according to Sagicor Bank’s Client Service Standards.
- Open new accounts for clients, namely savings accounts, current accounts, certificate of deposits.
- Initiate relevant documentation for the opening of all accounts in accordance with the Bank’s guidelines.
- Perform client verification as appropriate for each product.
- Ensure that all mandatory checks are completed to achieve Know Your Client (KYC) and POCA requirements.
- Perform account maintenance functions such as addition of name, dormant account updates, address changes, deceased clients.
- Process & issue ABM and credit cards according to policies & procedures and pin debit and/or credit cards.
- Prepare client request letters and certification of balance.
- Close certificate of deposits and process tax exemption requests.
- Provide relief for the Client Care Officer’s desk.
- Achieve assigned cross selling and referral targets.
- Provide operational support for the branch.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Studies or a relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Formal training in client service would be an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Experience in sales or selling techniques.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Knowledge of commercial banking operations functions would be a distinct advantage.
- Client-centric with good interpersonal, communication and complaint handling skills.
- Knowledge of the bank’s systems and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
- Strong selling, negotiating and client service skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
