Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Corporate Banking team in the capacity of:

 

Client Service Representative - Corporate Banking

 

Have responsibility for the on boarding of products and services for existing and new clients, identifying, referring and fulfilling new opportunities by taking the appropriate actions.

Collaborate with the Corporate Banking team and partners.

Provide direct support to Corporate Banking clients in relation to all lending and non-lending activities.

Develop a strong knowledge of client’s operational requirements in order to provide financial solutions (primarily cash management and payments solutions) that add value to the client’s business, while driving revenue growth.

Provide credit and sales support for Relationship Managers (RMs) to enable the administrative, planning and delivery of solutions for client and prospect needs.

As a Client Service Representative, you will:

 

  • Effectively support the Relationship Managers with their assigned portfolio of accounts. Participates in all aspects of portfolio credit management including opening and closing accounts.
  • Deliver superior client experience when working through transactions banking requests/ problems with clients by consistently providing effective responses or appropriate solutions.
  • Provide support to Relationship Managers with retention, growth and client acquisition activities.
  • Act as a first point of contact for new and existing clients’ non-lending needs, coordinating sales and fulfilment with product and services specialists.
  • Cross-sell group-wide services and expertise through referrals.
  • Be responsible for the accurate processing for all client transactions such as loan payments, stop payments and account transfers.
  • Deliver and follow up with loan packages delivered to the Disbursement & Collateral unit.
  • Re-order cheque books.
  • Collect service charges and fees as required.
  • Arrange the processing of wire transfers/ RTGS by branch or transact.
  • Exercise due diligence in following procedures and policies relative to fraud prevention, custody account opening, anti-money laundering and FATCA as outlined in banks guidelines.
  • Ensure collateral security items are verified and submitted to Centralized Disbursements team.
  • Provide information for auditor’s report in a timely manner to the Centralized Operations unit for processing.
  • Provide interim print out and account balances to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with routine bank operation, waivers, amendments to loans, maintenance of accounts, standing orders, salaries, booking of sales and purchases with Traders, Sundry Losses and wire transfers.
  • Leverage service partner expertise and own knowledge of transactions banking system in T24, internet banking, background/ foreground transactions and cheque processing to respond to client queries, encompassing the primary request and suggesting appropriate solutions to benefit the clients.
  • Build and maintain a network of Sagicor contacts relevant to the effective execution of the role and client servicing.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in a Financial Institution.
  • Sales and service orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to cross sell and negotiate successfully with clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure.
