Stewart Finance Jamaica Limited, an automotive financing company, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual, with a strong work ethic, to fill the position of:

                                    CLIENT CARE OFFICER

Job Summary

The incumbent is primarily responsible for the collection of loan payments, day-to-day client care and assisting with operational functions under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, Operations Manager & General Manager.

The key duties of the position are to:

  1. Process all customer loan payments and file customer receipts.
  2. Ensure that all cash payments are verified with customers.
  3. Manage petty cash; prepare payment vouchers, cheques for payment to suppliers and prepare daily Bank lodgments.
  4. Maintain daily cash limits.
  5. Perform daily balancing of cash/cheques.
  6. Assist with the preparation of Audit Confirmations.
  7. Pull customer payments from bank accounts and POS machine on a timely basis.
  8. Identify customer payments from the bank account.
  9. Ensure all bank transactions are posted on a timely basis.
  10. Greet customers entering the department with a smile and direct those clients to the relevant areas.
  11. Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt, polite and professional manner.
  12. Ensure compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Policy.
  13. Maintain knowledge of financing information to act as a resource for incoming calls.
  14. Respond to general queries and provide quotation to existing and potential clients.
  15. Ensure that all required documents and deposits are on file, prior to the submission of Letters of Undertaking to be signed.
  16. Assist with the accurate preparation of Letter of Undertakings and Notices of Lien.
  17. Ensure that all customer files are properly filed in the cabinets.
  18. Protect the privacy of our clients through the practice of a clean desk policy.
  19. Update & maintain credit consent form tracker.
  20. Maintain copies of Motor Vehicle Registration & Fitness to aid in the timely disbursement of loans.
  21. Maintain & update the disbursement listing.
  22. File & maintain proper accounting records.
  23. Assist with the annual tax & financial audit.
  24. Provide backup support for any other accounting or clerical positions on an ‘as needed’ basis.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • A minimum of an Associate degree in business administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • Four of more years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the banking sector
  • Knowledge of loan administration, including preparation and perfection of security documents
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
