Cleaner 1 (Warehouse)

This role is focused on maintaining an overall neat and tidy organization environment and providing general cleaning assistance in and around the Company buildings as may be required. Use of heavy machinery including: forklift, compactor and shredder during the course of duties as required

We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Distribution Centre:

CLEANER 1 (WAREHOUSE)

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

• Sweeping, mopping and removal of garbage from the assigned building on a daily basis, including the prompt clean-up of any food / beverage or trash that may fall on floor during the course of the day.
• Disposing of all garbage, at least twice daily, in the large bins kept on the Warehouse compound
• Using heavy machinery such as the Forklift, Compactor and Shredder to dispose of heavy items as required.
• Maintaining a clean environment in the assigned washrooms rooms on a daily basis.
• Cleaning of glass doors in the building.
• Assisting with maintenance of the outdoor executive area if assigned to Head Office.
• Vacuuming of all carpeted rooms on a weekly basis.
• Maintaining adequate inventory and placing orders for cleaning materials on a weekly basis or as needed.
• Cleaning of all offices at least twice monthly – wiping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of blinds etc.

 Knowledge & Experience:

• A minimum of three (3) CXC passes, which must include Mathematics and English Language.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
  • Or a relevant combination of training and experience
• Certification in forklift operations and a valid forklift license
