Job Overview:

To ensure that the Stewarding Department is managed, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. To assist and coach in the operation and be visible during peak times or major events having a hands on approach. 

Job Description:

 

  • Manage and provide clean and functioning equipment, tableware, glassware and cutlery for use in the kitchen, outlets and banquet.
  • Lead and manage the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure S.O.P are met.
  • Provide the required equipment to set up the buffet with Kitchen staff.
  • Enforce proper cleaning routines for service ware, equipment, floors, etc.
  • Enforce proper use and cleaning of all dish room machinery.  Requisite chemicals for dishwashing
  • Maintain store and ensure equipment is in good condition by scheduling regular maintenance with Engineering.
  • Conduct On-the-Job training (OJT) for new and existing Stewards
  • Cleaning and setting tables and placing seasonal decorations, candles, and tablecloths.
  • Scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, washing dirty dishes, and putting them away.
  • Assisting with sweeping, mopping, and polishing the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and equipment.
  • Transporting used linen to or from the laundry or housekeeping section.
  • Assisting with unloading and storing stock.
  • Knowledge in F&B Operations, cleaning chemicals and equipment used in kitchen.
  • 5 years of F&B experience
  • A friendly, polite, and courteous nature.
  • Strong customer service and team working skills.
  • Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
  • The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Salary starts at: $29,744.00 per annum.
