GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ROLE SUMMARY The Chief Information & Communication Technology Officer (CICTO) will lead the development and execution of the company's Information & Communication Technology (ICT) strategy to support the company’s mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions. This role ensures that all ICT systems, infrastructure, and digital innovations align with organisational goals while fostering security, efficiency, and technological advancement. SUMMARY OF CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and implement the ICT vision, strategy, and initiatives to align with long-term business objectives.
- Identify and prioritise ICT investments and initiatives that support the organisation’s strategic goals.
- Assess current and future technology needs, evaluating risks and opportunities and developing a roadmap for implementing ICT solutions.
- Oversee the overall management of the ICT division.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the organisation’s ICT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of digital infrastructure components.
- Implement infrastructure upgrades and optimise performance.
- Develop a strategy and framework for Cybersecurity.
- Develop and enforce policies to ensure the security of IT systems, data, and digital assets.
- Ensure compliance with national and international energy and data security regulations.
- Explore new technologies, methodologies, and ideas to guide the company’s digital transformation initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and creativity.
- Define and implement a digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Leverage technology to meet evolving customer expectations and employee efficiency.
- Facilitate a data driven organisation by managing the entire data lifecycle including creation / acquisition, storage, usage, analysis, sharing, archival and disposal.
- Promote and facilitate the use of data in decision making across the entire organisation.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT department, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and expectations.
- Establish and manage relationships with vendors and partners to ensure effective collaboration.
- Develop strategies and implement measures to mitigate and manage IT related risks.
- Oversee the execution of ICT projects, managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investment in technology.
- Optimize resource allocation to meet current and future business needs.
REQUIREMENTS - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- A Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be an asset.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in ICT, with five (5) years’ experience in a senior ICT position.
- Experience leading at a strategic level is required; Demonstrated experience in developing a strategic vision for a company's ICT function.

- Demonstrated experience in Information Technology governance and compliance.
- Experience in digital transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical change and innovation.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and oversight of the management of Information Technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and related systems.

- Ability to develop and manage projects and associated budgets.
- Strong ability to motivate employees and colleagues.
