We are a visionary and ambitious organization that is seeking to recruit a key member of our leadership team. CHIEF FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
The ideal candidate will be a principal business partner to the Managing Director with deep involvement in strategic planning and decision making to drive the growth of the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
- Leadership of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and the provision of comprehensive monthly management reporting.
- Leads financial planning and analysis to support effective decision making including investment appraisals.
- Ownership of the annual budget and forecasting process, ensuring co-ordination and collaboration across all departments.
- Ownership of cash management and working capital.
- Prepare financial presentations for Board meetings and Monthly Business Reviews.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures and systems of internal controls that are effective in mitigating and minimizing financial loss.
- Promulgate the implementation and adaptation of new procedures throughout the organization to close control gaps identified.
- Leads the use of the ERP system to improve efficiency and effectiveness in finance and the wider business.
- Work with the External Auditors to ensure an efficient and complete audit.
- Manage tax planning and compliance.
Position Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Professional Accounting Certification
- Possess five (5) years’ related work experience leading a Finance function
- Sound competence in IFRS accounting standards
- Proficient in the development of ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of cost and management accounting
- Knowledge of Jamaican Tax laws and regulations
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Committed to working in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate high level of confidentiality and strategic thinking
- Ability to work under pressure and is deadline driven
