JN Fund Managers Limited (JNFM), a subsidiary of The Jamaica National Group Limited, is a premier Primary Dealer and Licensed Securities Dealer. Our mission is to enrich lives and build better communities, by offering tailored financial solutions to corporate, institutional and individual investors. JNFM is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role in shaping our financial future as we expand our mutual funds, asset management, wealth management and investment banking services.

Key Responsibilities

As CFO, you will:

• Collaborate with the Managing Director and Board to define and execute the Company’s strategic objectives and financial goals.
• Develop and oversee financial controls, reporting systems, and internal processes to ensure operational excellence.
• Drive the Company’s financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and analysis, to support long-term growth.
• Manage and monitor the Company’s financial position, relationships, and capital structure.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including reports to the Financial Services Commission and other authorities.
• Lead and mentor the Finance team to foster continuous development and operational efficiency.
• Chair the Asset and Liability Committee, ensuring robust financial risk management strategies.
• Certify and oversee the preparation of financial statements, audits, and disclosures in line with securities laws.
• Develop KPIs to measure and enhance the Company’s financial performance.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a graduate degree and CFA charter are highly desirable.
• ACCA or equivalent held for at least 15 years.
• A minimum of 10 years leading accounting or finance teams, including 5+ years at a senior level in a top auditing firm.
• Proven expertise in the investment and financial advisory industry.

The ideal candidate should have:

·        Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

·        Superior communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.

·        Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

·        Demonstrated project management and strategic planning capabilities.

·        Creative problem-solving skills, results-oriented, ability to multi-task and with a high capacity for work..

·        Regulatory compliance expertise, including being deemed Fit and Proper by the relevant authorities.
