About the Role:

As Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS guidelines. Your role will involve ensuring that financial transactions, policies, and procedures align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with external stakeholders, manage the Finance team, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements following IFRS guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and established accounting principles.
• Support financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
• Communicate with external entities such as auditors, banks, and vendors.
• Manage internal controls and ensure effective financial reporting systems.
• Provide timely updates to key stakeholders including the CFO/CEO and regulators.
• Lead and develop the Finance team, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency and minimize risk.
• Assist with audit processes and financial analysis for strategic planning.
• Maintain accounting systems, fixed asset registers, and IFRS 16 schedules.
• Reconcile accounts, oversee procurement, and ensure regulatory compliance. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Management Studies or equivalent.
• Chartered or ACCA Level II certification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, gaming/entertainment industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems and computerized accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
